Post-Grad Program

The bridge to the next level

Most players aren't behind because they lack talent. They're behind because nobody built them a real bridge, one that develops the whole player, not just the jump shot. Hoops Link's post-grad program takes a multifaceted approach: mind, body, and spirit, all prepared together for what the next level actually demands.

This isn't a wide-net program. Hoops Link houses a maximum of three to four out-of-state players per year for the post-grad training academy, based in Trinity, Florida. It's small by design, so every player gets real attention, not a roster number. Training and facilities are spread across the greater Tampa Bay area.

The work is threefold: building genuine relationships with college coaches through unofficial visits and direct exposure, preparing physically for the speed and strength of the next level, and preparing mentally, really mentally, for what it takes to compete there and stay there.

Hoops Link Prep is Academy of the Flow for a reason. This is where players find theirs.

Coach Kaine

Kaine McColley was named North Suncoast Player of the Year by the Tampa Bay Times as a senior at Nature Coast Technical High School in Brooksville, Florida. It's the top honor across all of Pasco and Hernando counties.

Kaine spent a post-grad year with Coach Holmes at Pro Holmes Sports in Tampa Bay, a program he now helps coach on the travel side. He became the first player in his post-grad class to commit, landing with Nova Southeastern University after an early October visit.

Kaine played four years at Nova Southeastern under Coach Jim Crutchfield, the holder of the highest career winning percentage in NCAA basketball history, part of the first team in program history to win the South Region.

He went on to play at Bluefield State University under Coach Devin Hoehn, now the head coach at Fayetteville State, coming off a CIAA Championship. At Bluefield State, Kaine earned All-American Honorable Mention and ranked among the top 10 three-point shooters in the nation, performance that led over a dozen Division I programs to reach out when he entered the transfer portal. He committed to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to play for Coach Solomon Bozeman, a relationship years in the making, dating back to Kaine's first-ever college visit to Arkansas-Little Rock in high school, when Bozeman was the assistant coach recruiting him.

Kaine is a two-time HBCU graduate.

That's the foundation Hoops Link Prep is built on: real relationships, real development, and a path that doesn't always go in a straight line, but gets you there.

Hoops Link Basketball design, originally created by Kaine's father

"Hoops-Link" was born from a design Kaine's father made around 2013–2014. This is a modern remake of that same original mark, the foundation everything here is built on. His slogan said it best: "Giving back to the game."
